Self Proclaimed Professional Proclaimer.
Ohio based freelance writer with an affinity for the finer things in life. Things such as Music, Movies, Sequential Art and, of course, Video Games. I wasn’t always a freelance writer though. I have been
cursed blessed with a wide array of interests, leading to a wide array of jobs. I have been a Mechanic, Mail Sorter, Graphic Designer, Coder, Warehouse Laborer, and have even colored comic books for the last five years. With many less significant jobs thrown in, for added flavor. All throughout high school I was in Punk bands, and create terrible music still today. Punk is very interesting and has given me a different view of life that I feel I wouldn’t have received otherwise. Combined with my past endeavors I feel this allows me to see my work through different and interesting perspectives. An ability to see connections and correlations between things others might not.
I also really love the idea of combining old school, hard-boiled, non fiction writing with today’s technology. We live in an exiting time to write! From the internet’s rise to global domination, to the ever improving online publishing tools, there has been no better time to express yourself in human history. I love using things like Markdown, and even hacking away at HTML and CSS to make great content. I loved magazines as a child, they presented a beautiful celebration of words, images and ideas. I feel the web has even greater potential to celebrate these things, and who wouldn’t want to take part in that?
